Amit sailed with Maersk Line for over a decade as an engineer before coming ashore to build Barrow & Trent’s India operation. He designed the screening and crewing systems the company runs on – the process that decides who’s good enough to step aboard an owner’s vessel. Through Shiplo, the 23,000+ seafarer network he built, crew supply is never Barrow & Trent’s constraint; fit and quality are. His rule hasn’t changed since his own days at sea: only send a seafarer you’d sail with yourself.
